This is me announcing my second baby. 🥰 I now h This is me announcing my second baby. 🥰 I now have two rainbow babies. If you don’t know what a rainbow baby is, it means a baby that came after a loss.🌈

I was going to letter “hold on to hope” but there were times I couldn’t find any hope to hold on to. So instead, “just hold on” to anything you can. And I’m not saying hold on because everything you want is coming for you. It may not. But hold on because there’s still good coming, even if it’s different than what you wanted.

Pregnancy/birth announcements are hard for me and feel complicated. There have been times when having a baby was the last thing I wanted. And there have been times when I wanted it so bad but it was taken away. My journey into motherhood has not been what I thought it was supposed to look like (isn’t that how anything in life is?). But somehow having two rainbow babies feels just right for our story. Not the way I wanted to write it, but still a story I’m really grateful to be mine.

So if you’re in a place where pregnancy/birth announcements feel hard, I wish I could wrap you in a big hug. Every story is so different. I don’t think the hurt from loss ever goes away. It shows up in unexpected places. But I do know that life has beautiful moments all along the way, even with the hurt, even when it’s not what you thought you wanted.

P.S. This is one of many reasons why lettering is the best… it can get us through the hard times and the good times!

Why do you letter? 🤗 I’ve been thinking a l Why do you letter? 🤗

I’ve been thinking a lot about my relationship with instagram. I wasn’t on instagram for almost a year. It was truly healing and I needed that.

I’ve been feeling little nudges to be here again. But it has to be in a way that doesn’t burn me out. Not for money. Not for views, likes, and followers. Not to be seen. But to connect. I want to connect with the amazing people here who also love to letter.

So thank you for loving hand lettering and connecting with me!
