Tutorial: Digitize in Inkscape (Part 2)

If you missed my Inkscape Tutorial Part 1, click here. If you are ready for the next lesson, keep reading! Or if you want to learn but don’t have time right now, pin this tutorial and save it for later!

You will learn how to “break apart” your vector so you can change the color of each word or drawing. The video is my whole process starting from my pencil sketch to the very end product that is ready to print and post.

This time I did my tutorial as a video with little notes to help you through it. Feel free to pause the video or skip ahead as much as you need.

Helpful reminders:
To zoom in or out: Hold down “control” and use the scroll wheel on your mouse.
To go from side to side: Hold down “shift” and use the scroll wheel on your mouse.
To resize your image: Hold down “control” and move the arrow so you keep the same aspect ratio.

One more thing: If you are on your phone or tablet, you will not be able to see my notes on the video. Just hop on to a computer and it’s all there!

Were you able to get this to work? Did you have questions as you did it? Comment below!

I would love to see what you came up with! Feel free to post your picture below or tag me on Instagram. I love to meet fellow creators!
